SBI PO Selection Procedure- Written Test,Interview,GD 



1.  Phase - I - Written Test (250 Marks)

The SBI PO written exam first phase consists of objective and descriptive test. Objective test is of 200 marks . Time allotted for completion of this test  2 hour. There is total of four section in this test and of each 50 marks.

(a) English Language (Questions from Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
(b) General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
(c) Data Analysis and Interpretation
(d) Reasoning

Descriptive Test (50 marks): Those candidates who qualify objective test are eligibile to appear in Descriptive Test.

The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration will be of “Test of English Language (comprehension, short prĂ©cis, letter writing , essay)”.


2. Phase - II - SBI PO Group Discussion (GD)

Phase-II: Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)

Students who qualify Objective and Descriptive test mentioned above will be called for an GD and Interview.

The qualifying marks in Group Discussion , Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

 Final Selection

The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks maximum) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion , Interview (out of 50 marks maximum) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
